Have you tried scones and ended up with rock cakes, made a birthday cake and ended up with a Frisbee? Have you tried to make pastry and it’s come out like a piece of leather, or been so stretchy it’s been impossible to roll out?
On this course half day course I will show you how to make light, fluffy scones, melt in the mouth shortcrust pastry and feather light sponge. We’ll even make our own lemon curd and a beautiful fluffy tart filling that doesn’t run out of pastry cracks – not that you’ll be having any cracks in your pastry!
You’ll go home with enough food to feed your family for supper, inspired, enlightened, empowered and ready to take on new challenges in the kitchen.
The day includes tea, coffee, light lunch, recipes and as many hints and tips as we can squeeze in.
