A half day dedicated to curry
Curry in Scotland has come a long way since the 1970s when my mother made a chicken casserole with a teaspoon of mild curry powder, a tin of tomatoes and a handful of raisins…
Curry is now one of the most popular cuisines, made in many countries using local spices and ingredients to personalise flavours.
From India, Indonesia and Sri Lanka, to Thailand, Pakistan and Guyana, no two curries are the same.
On this 1/2 day course we cook curries from Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Malaysia. We’ll have some for lunch and some to take home for later.
Recipes may include
Sri Lankan Red Beef Curry
Bangladeshi Sweet & Sour Chicken Rizala
Malaysian Vegetable Dalcha
