A complete short cookery course for beginners, students or cooks lacking confidence and knowledge, held over 4 evenings.

Whether you have never cooked before, consider yourself to be a failure kitchen wise or want some fresh ideas for better food,
this course will show you how to make quick and easy nutritious food with lots of ideas for improvisation and adaptation.
We focus on basic cooking skills essential for everyday life.
At the end of the fourth evening, you will leave with new recipes, new skills and confidence to create delicious food for yourself and your family or flatmates easily and cheaply.
The first evening covers knife skills, stocks, soups, sauces, pastry & pies
The second evening focuses on rice, grains, salads & casseroling
The third evening covers fish, cake baking & custard
The fourth evening focuses on eggs, curries & simple bread
Skills covered include knife skills, browning meat & casseroling, cooking with fish, cooking with eggs, cooking with vegetables, simple sauces, baking, steaming, stocks, salads, nutrition, portion sizes, kitchen hygiene.
This course is 4 evenings, 6th & 20th September, 4th October and 1st November
